Set your logo and four brand colors once in Settings, and all twelve templates pick them up automatically. Switch templates per invoice or set a default. Signature and company stamp images are supported.

👥 Customers and catalog

Full customer records with billing and shipping addresses, payment terms, credit limits, tax numbers, and internal notes that never appear on a customer document. Set a customer's currency and terms once and every new invoice for them inherits it.

The duplicate finder catches the same business entered twice by matching name, email, phone, and tax number, then merges the records. Every document, payment, note, and expense moves across. Nothing is destroyed.

Your catalog holds products and services with SKUs, units, prices to four decimal places, cost prices for margin reporting, and default tax codes. Pick an item on an invoice line and the description, unit, rate, and tax fill themselves in. Bulk price changes let you move every price by a percentage in one action.

💰 Payments, receipts, and statements

Record what actually arrived, not what you hoped for. Split one payment across several invoices, or press "Apply oldest first" and let it allocate for you. Overpayments become customer credit held on account automatically, ready for their next invoice.

Reversing a payment never deletes anything. It writes a matching opposite entry, so the original and its reversal both stay in the record. That is how accounting systems are supposed to handle mistakes.

Branded receipt PDFs and full statements of account, with running balance and aging breakdown, are included.

🔁 Recurring billing

Eight frequencies from daily to annual, with correct month end handling. A monthly profile starting on January 31 runs on February 28, then March 31. It does not silently drift to the 28th of every following month, which is the classic bug in homemade billing schedules.

Nothing generates behind your back. You press "Run all due," it tells you how many are waiting, and each one arrives as a draft you can review before sending. Running the same date twice produces nothing rather than a duplicate.

Each one exports exactly what is on screen, with your filters and date range printed on the report itself, so months later you can still tell what a printout was showing.

The Data Quality report is worth running monthly. It catches customers with no email address, invoice lines with no tax code, drafts older than sixty days, and expired estimates nobody chased.

📤 Exports that are actually what they claim

PDF keeps your logo, colors, fonts, and page layout. This is what you send to customers. Excel produces a genuine .xlsx with live formulas, filters, frozen headings, print areas, and your branding. Not a CSV renamed. CSV is honest plain text. It cannot hold an image, a color, or a page layout, and the app does not pretend otherwise.

Every export writes to a temporary file, verifies it, then moves it into place. A failure never leaves a half written file and never damages an existing one. Nothing is silently overwritten.

💾 Backup and restore you can trust

One click writes a single zip holding your database, logo, signature, stamp, and every attachment, plus a manifest listing each file with a SHA-256 checksum and record counts.

Restoring shows you when the backup was made and how its record counts compare to what you have now, before anything happens. Then it takes an automatic safety copy of your current data first, so a restore can itself be undone.

Scheduled automatic backups with retention are built in.

📥 Import from spreadsheets

Download a template so your columns match, pick your CSV or Excel file, and review the preview. Every row is marked Ready, Duplicate, or Problem with the reason spelled out. Choose whether duplicates are skipped, updated, or imported anyway.

If anything fails while writing, the entire import rolls back. You never end up with half a file loaded. Rejected rows are saved to a CSV you can fix and re import.

🔐 THE PART MOST INVOICE TOOLS GET WRONG

Money is never stored as a floating point number. Every calculation uses decimal arithmetic. This is why totals here do not develop the one cent drift you get in spreadsheets. A thousand line items of 0.015 come to exactly 15.00.

Rounding happens once, at the end, on the total. Intermediate values keep full precision, the way accounting standards expect.

Finalizing an invoice locks it. It takes a permanent snapshot of your business details, the customer's details, and every total. Reprint a two year old invoice and it reproduces exactly as sent, even if you have since changed your logo, address, or prices.

Void instead of delete. A finalized invoice cannot be deleted, only voided. The number stays in the sequence marked void, which is what an auditor expects. A gap in your numbering raises questions. A voided number does not.

Append only audit log. Every meaningful action is recorded and cannot be edited from inside the application. Values that look like passwords are redacted before they are written.

🔨 Want a version that needs nothing installed at all? Build scripts are included. You run one on a Windows PC and one on a Mac, and each produces a fully standalone package. This cannot be prepared for you in advance, because a Windows program can only be built on Windows and a Mac app only on a Mac. The scripts run the full test suite first and refuse to build if anything fails.

🍎 On macOS, the first time you open it you will right click and choose Open, because the app is not signed with a paid Apple Developer certificate. You do this once. The guide covers it step by step.
